I know in the last lesson I told you that manifesting doesn’t mean to do nothing, but I also know there's still that lingering question again... “what do you do then?”.

I get it. I remember asking myself the same thing when I first started learning about manifesting.

It felt like an impossible paradox.

Sure, there are the things “I want” that I can try to be patient and let come to me.

But I also have responsibilities — I have people counting on me.How do I know when to "let go" and when to "take action" without getting in my own way?

The Fear Behind the Hustle

The real fear isn’t just about doing nothing. It’s about what might happen if you don’t act.

What if something goes wrong?
What if something slips through the cracks?
What if I miss my chance and it never comes back?

That kind of thinking makes manifesting feel reckless. Irresponsible, even.

Especially for people with ADHD, who already feel behind, like we’re constantly dropping the ball.

It feels safer to stay in motion — any motion — than risk being still and vulnerable.

But that mindset is the exact thing that’s been hurting you.

Here’s an example to explain what I mean:

Imagine the metaphor of your life is that you’re like a rat trapped in a bucket of water.

There’s just enough room to poke your nose above the surface.And you’re panicking. Kicking, flailing, clawing at the sides — doing everything you can to survive.

You just want out, you just desperately want to be somewhere else.

You think, If I stop moving, I’ll die.But the cruel irony is… if you keep thrashing, you will die.

You’re burning yourself out.

When your brain is in survival mode, you don’t think about calming down and simply floating. You don’t think about conserving your energy or waiting for rescue.

By panicking, you’re just going to speed up the process of drowning.

Stillness feels like giving up. Letting go feels like dying.It seems like a "no win" situation...But what if it’s not?

What if the very thing you’re afraid to do… is the only thing that can save you?

The Hidden Cost of Constant Motion

I remember the first time I saw it.

Just two little words.On a video thumbnail.Against a calm landscape background.

“Be Still.”

It’s wild how something so simple can land like a punch to the chest when it finds you at the right time.

At that point in my life, I was deep in the struggle — trying to balance my manifesting mindset with the chaos of real life.

I kept asking myself: "When am I supposed to take action?""When am I supposed to let go?"

It felt like if I didn’t keep moving, pushing, fixing... something terrible would happen.

Then came those two words:"Be Still."

That was the answer I was missing.

Now, what if — hear me out — when you’re confused about what to do, you didn’t force yourself to act right away? What if you just waited until enough time or events unfolded that you had clarity?

And in the meantime, you focused on the things you do have clarity on — the stuff you already “know” needs to be done?

What if that’s actually how it’s supposed to work?

Wouldn’t that take care of the whole “responsibility” problem we beat ourselves up about?

See, manifesting actually has this provision built into the practice. It says to wait for “divine inspiration” before you act.

Which means: it’s not about sitting around forever.

It’s about pausing until the noise settles and the next step naturally comes into focus.

And here’s the surprising part: when you practice this kind of patience, you’ll start noticing how many things actually work themselves out without you ever doing a thing.

Before, you probably thought you had to “do something” immediately — to fix it, to hurry it along, or just to get it behind you because the uncertainty was more painful than the task itself.

But here’s what I’ve found after practicing this for a few years: when I stop trying to force a solution, one of two things always happens:

Either the answer eventually becomes clear, or the problem just… works itself out.

We like to tell ourselves we’re being “responsible” by acting fast, but the truth is, most of the time we’re not acting out of responsibility — we’re acting out of discomfort.

We don’t want to sit with uncertainty or "open ended" problems.We want relief.Now.

But that pressure you feel — that “I have to fix this right now” energy? That’s not wisdom.

That’s fear.That’s shame.That’s survival mode.

And as I illustrated earlier in the rat metaphor, you can’t make clear decisions in survival mode. All you do is drown.

That’s why stillness is such a game-changer. It interrupts the panic spiral. It keeps you from rushing into the wrong move. It gives space for clarity to show up — and it always does.

Stillness isn’t passivity. Stillness is the presence we are striving for.

But it’s also the pause that lets wisdom rise to the surface.

And once you get that… you stop treating every unknown as an emergency.

You start trusting that when it’s time to act, you’ll know.And until then, you can just breathe.

The Day I Stopped Thrashing

Let me give you a simple example from my own life — not life-changing, just real.

I’ve run a small business from my home for years, and I ship my products in big cardboard tubes.

These tubes come on large wooden pallets, and over time I had about a dozen of them stacked up on the side of my house. Not hurting anything, just sitting there… reminding me every single day that I hadn’t dealt with them.

And I would beat myself up.

“Why haven’t you taken these to the dump yet?”
“Are you really that lazy?”

Every glance at those pallets was another hit of guilt and shame.

Not just from them, but reminding me of the growing list of other things I’ve neglected to take care of too.

In the midst of this “pallet shame fiasco” I was also in the middle of learning everything I’m sharing with you here — the shadow, letting go, manifesting, emotional strategy instead of emotional sabotage.

So one day, when the pallets had shamed me for the last time, I looked at them, and decided to do something different:"Be still."

I said it to myself out loud.

I forgave myself.I let go of the guilt.I trusted that when it was time, the answer would show up.

A few months later, my neighbor called. His teenage son and a group of friends were planning a bonfire party in the desert and needed wood.

“Do you still have those pallets?” he asked.“Sure do,” I said.

Fifteen minutes later, the kids pulled up in a pickup truck and hauled them off — I didn’t even need to lift a finger.

And that problem I’d carried for years was gone.

Just like that.

Calm Beats Chaos Every Time

I could tell you dozens of stories like that from the last few years.

Times where I let something sit…chose peace instead of pressure…and watched the situation resolve itself with almost magical timing.

You want to know the truth?This is the "real" strategy.

Not “get ahead of your problems.”Not “move fast and break things.”Not “if you’re not grinding, you’re dying.”

Again...just two words:Be still.

In the stillness, your mind clears.Your emotions settle.And the right action — if any — reveals itself.

But in the chaos?You don’t find answers.You create more problems.

Why Calm Wins

Want a practical reason this “be still” idea works? Think about how easy it is to miss what’s trying to reach you when you’re frantically moving.

Imagine you’re at Disneyland and lose your friend — one of your phones is dead.

You both start wandering, each guessing where the other might have gone. You keep missing each other, not because you’re not trying, but because you’re both in motion.

The movement itself makes you harder to find.

Now flip it: if one of you just stayed put — “I’ll wait by the teacups” — eventually she would find you.

That’s how stillness works. It’s not mystical; it’s strategy.

When you stop thrashing and hold your ground, what’s meant to connect with you can finally catch up.

Nature shows the same truth. Young lions sprint around the plains chasing gazelles, leaping left and right, trying to catch anything that moves.

But they burn out fast.

It’s sloppy, desperate, and mostly unsuccessful.

Older lions — the "wiser" ones? They know better. They find a vantage point. They settle. They wait.

And when the time is right—they pounce.

This is what “manifesting” is really describing. Not magic. Not fate.

Just the logic of becoming findable: quieting the panic so clarity, opportunity, and solutions can see where you are and reach you.

Turning Panic Into Presence

When I started putting this into practice it was pretty easy because every time I felt that twinge of guilt or panicked feeling of overwhelm, it would trigger me to immediately shift into “be still” mode.

You can determine pretty fast whether or not the thing that’s bothering you is something that’s really an emergency, or if it’s just giving you that "reminder" that you’re a piece of shit.

If it’s not, here’s how you manifest the solution.

Tell yourself what you want – a specific outcome, a solution, whatever. No expectation — just identify it.
Let it go – forgive yourself, and have faith it will work itself out or give you clarity when it’s time to deal with it. (in other words, just because it popped up in your head out of nowhere, doesn’t mean “now” is when it needs to be dealt with.
Be Still – live life, allow yourself the presence that letting this stuff go will give you.
Do the things you have clarity on - This method kind of automatically gives you your priorities — and the things your clear on are much easier to get done.

Start Letting Life Find You.

Look, some mysteries of the universe will always be mysteries. I’m not here to convince you of something mystical.

I’m just telling you what works.

Over and over, I’ve tried chasing what I want.

It burns me out, it makes me desperate, it clouds my judgment, and I miss the opportunities that would’ve come if I just chilled for a second.

At some point, I stopped needing to understand exactly how it works and just started noticing that it works.

So here’s the deal:Be still. Hold your desires loosely. Keep showing up in small ways. Let the world do some of the work.

Because maybe your job isn’t to hunt everything down.Maybe your job is to make it easy for the good things to find you.
